Do you feel your substance misuse has got out of control? Whether you want some advice and guidance or more structured support we are here to help you.
Who is it for?
For young people aged 16-25 years old who feel their substance misuse has got out of control.
Whether you use drugs or alcohol socially with friends or have developed a more regular habit, it can be difficult to admit dependency and find ways to make changes and tackle addiction. The Link drop-in, in Gloucester, has a specialist worker ready to support you and offer practical solutions to help you make the changes you want.
A young person recently told us "I have spent £10 a day on Cannabis for over five years." That's the equivalent of £18,250 a year - a full time salary.
What can you expect?
Together we will discuss your situation and agree a plan that involves you accessing services and getting all the support you need to make it as easy as possible for you to break your habits and change your lifestyle. It’s not all formal and intense work- it can be about having a chat and a nice cup of tea or walking around the park together, whatever works for you.
How to get involved?
Our specialist substance misuse worker, Megan, is available in The Link Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 11-4pm.
Alternatively, you can also find her in The Forest of Dean on Wednesdays in Stroud on Fridays.
