YG offers a relaxed and informal environment that encourages you to take the lead. Now don’t get us wrong – it’s not a total free for all, but it certainly won’t feel like school or college. The courses are designed to get you stuck in; having real life experiences, trying new activities and showing yourself just what you are capable of.

“The programme helped me to feel normal again. It challenged me, but it also built my confidence back up. It showed me I can do things I never thought I could.” (Giles, 19, from Gloucester).

Here are the answers to some questions about all our training programmes that you may want to know before you get involved:

Will attending a training programme affect my Job Seekers Allowance?

No, we work closely with the Job Centre and will give you instructions to pass on to your adviser to make sure your benefits are not affected.

When do your programmes start?

We have courses starting all the time so please give us a call to find out the next available start date.

How do I get a place on a programme?

You will need to get in touch with YG and pop along for a chat about the course and your situation, so we can make sure this is the best option. Then we will do our best to get you a place on a course that is going to be right for you.

How much will it cost me?

That’s the best thing – all of YG’s courses are FREE. We will even pay your bus fare to help you get here every day. Just give us a call to see how we can help.
