Measuring Outcomes
At Young Gloucestershire, we understand the importance of both qualitative and quantitative data to measure the effectiveness of our services and ensure our interventions achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
How We Measure Impact
Putting young people at the centre: We ensure that young people’s voices are at the core of feedback. This includes gathering insights through formal measurement tools and informal conversations.
Creating young people’s stories: We enable young people to share their experiences in their own words, capturing the real impact of our work.
Consistent measurement tools: Wherever possible, we use standardised tools across all programmes, such as ACES, WEMWBS, and CORE. (We are currently reviewing and improving these processes.) Where funders have specific requirements, we adapt as needed.
Developing a fit-for-purpose database: YG is building a new database, expected to launch in 2026. This will allow us to analyse and report data more efficiently, reducing administrative time and improving accuracy.
Data-skilled staff: Our team includes professionals who can analyse data, identify trends, and feed insights into strategic decision-making. This ensures we continue to meet the needs of young people and communicate outcomes effectively to funders.
By combining robust measurement tools, qualitative insights, and skilled analysis, we ensure that our work is effective, accountable, and continuously improving.
