Jamie Takes on the Gloucester Marathon

Jamie Nash is taking on the Gloucester Marathon to help other young people.

18 February 2016

My name is Jamie Nash, I’m 19 from Gloucester and I currently study at Cardiff Metropolitan University doing Biomedical Science and I’ve just signed up to run the Gloucester Marathon, supporting YG.

Why have I chosen to run the marathon for YG? Well I decided to do a marathon as I have always enjoyed running 10K’s and mud runs but I wanted to challenge myself, so a marathon it is. My mum has done many marathons before, but never the Gloucester one so I want to be the first one  to finish it! Plus it’s my home town, so it would be nice to run it.  In the holidays, I work part-time in Sainsburys and have supported YG in the past, so by running I’m continuing to help my local youthwork charity as I like to see that the money I raise is put to good use, and you can see that happens at YG. So please donate to this good cause by sponsoring me or joining me on 7th August!

I’ve just recovered from a mild knee injury, but I am recovering well and my training is starting up again so I will keep you up to date on my progress. In the meantime, please do consider donating to my JustGiving page, which will help me through my weeks of training: https://www.justgiving.com/jamienashglosmarathon
