You might have a good idea of what career you would like to work towards or you might have no idea at all. Mentoring will help you take steps towards identifying and achieving your career goals.

The opportunity is available for young people who are 16-25 and are either; not in employment, education or training (NEET), or for young people who find themselves in a job that doesn't make them happy and want help to move into a new career. If you are not sure if mentoring is for you then give us a call to find out more.

What to expect?

You will be matched with a professional person who works in an area that interests you. Mentors will work one to one with you to talk about what you would like to achieve and how you can make that happen. They might help you find a work placement, look at your job application forms or give you advice about interviews.

Together you and the mentor will figure out how often you want to meet, where, when and what you want to talk about or do.

Mentors will be volunteering their time and will all have training from YG. YG will introduce you and make sure you feel comfortable, we will stay in touch the whole time and offer both you, and the mentor extra support if you need it.
