Youth Worker (Community Youth Work)
To be a Community Youth Worker which involves scoping, creating, delivering and reviewing projects that provide young people with opportunities to:
- Have their voices heard and represented across Gloucestershire.
- Take part in and help deliver hubs of youth provision across the county through YG’s Street Based Youth Work Model.
- Create a Youth Active Citizens Fund which involves young people carrying our regular Social Action Projects across the County.
- Create opportunities for young people to engage with youth workers to equip young people with the necessary support and infrastructure to lead on societal change in their communities.
This role takes a specific lead for supporting delivery of the Thirty Percy Community Development work as well as general youth work delivery across Young Gloucestershire programmes.
Full time 37.5 hours per week
YG’s core business hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm however due to the nature and pressing need of our work all YG staff may be required to complete work outside of these hours including residential, weekend and evening work.Where the proper performance of your duties requires that you work excessive hours, you will be allowed time off work in lieu (TOIL). Residential activity should be completed within the contract and TOIL will not be given for this.
£19,000- £22,000 per annum
