Youth Achievement Foundation Transformed

Two local companies Ecclesiastical Insurance and St James's Place joined forces this week to transform the Youth Achievement Foundation.
The Foundation is an educational project for young people who have been excluded from mainstream schools.  Over 3 days 50 volunteers painted walls, hung shelves, moved furniture, laid carpet and much more, in order to get the Foundation ready to re-open in September.

Raphael L'Hoste of Young Gloucestershire said, "It is hugely important that the building is finished just right by September so that the project can get to a good start.  What has been achieved simply would not have been possible without the help of volunteers.  We a so thankful"
An Ecclesiastical Insurance employer said, "It was a great day, and we all learned new skills.  Next time I need to hang shelves, I might just do it myself."
The project operates in the Kingsway Business Park, and includes a small plot of land that we hope to develop into a play area and conservation area, again with the help of volunteers.
