Youth Volunteering

The v Team in Gloucestershire is there to promote and support youth volunteering in the county. The aim of v is to inspire a million more 16–25 year olds to volunteer and enable a lasting change in the quality, quantity and diversity of youth volunteering.
Why do volunteering?
• To make friends • To gain skills or training • To gain work experience • To build self-esteem and self-confidence • To make contacts within a profession • To feel needed and valued • To make a difference in someone’s life • To work towards recognised volunteering certification e.g. v certificates, ASDAN, Youth Achievement Awards.
