Prince's Trust
Prince's Trust Team programme is free training over 12 weeks for young people between the ages of 16 – 25 who are unemployed.The young people will gain some of the following:-
• City and Guilds Profile of Achievement • Fire Station Visit – Equipment and Smoke Room Training • First Aid Training • NOCN Interpersonal Skills • Team Building residential • 100 hours v Certificate - working for the National Trust • Work Experience • Interview skills training • Support in Job Search • Personal Development Certificate signed by HRH The Prince of Wales |
Activities
Week 1 is about getting to know the members of the Team.
Week 2 is a Team building residential
Weeks 3, 4 & 5 is working on a project to benefit the community
Weeks 6, 7 & 8 working on organising and participating in a work placement
Week 9 is “Next Steps” week which provides help to enable the young people to move on after completing the programme by working on CVs, action plans, college visits and mock interviews.
Week 10 is organising a community challenge which involves funding, organising and running an event for another group or charity.
Week 11 involves working with the National Trust taking part in conservation work.
Week 12 is the week when the Team presents their own achievements and receive recognition for the progress they have made.
The course enables young people to meet new people, make new friends, gain new skills, gain qualifications, have fun whilst helping others and build self esteem and confidence.
