Shopping with the elderly taster day

From carrying the shopping bags to pushing wheelchairs; Katie Beard, Louise Beard and Nicole Briscoe all mucked in to make sure the residents of Dickens Close had a great day out. Katie Beard, 17, said: 'The highlight of the day was getting to know Violet (one of the residents at Dickens Close), we got on really well and I just wanted to take her home!'.

The Shopping Taster day was part of the ever growing 'Befriending Link' between Gloucester City Homes and the V. Team at Young Gloucestershire, creating a link between generations in the county. If you are interested in getting involved in a project like this one, please contact a member of the V. Team on 01452 501008 alternatively send an e-mail to .
