Helping Deliver Youth Work Locally
It’s great that many communities are prioritising young people and seeking to provide them with safe environments to congregate and develop.
A vast majority of the youth clubs in Gloucestershire are now run on a voluntary basis by people with many other work and family commitments. With this in mind we understand that it is hard to provide up to date Information, advice and guidance (IAG) to young people.
Young Gloucestershire’s core staff team has an array of experience and knowledge of many areas relevant to young people e.g. alcohol and drug awareness, smoking cessation and sexual health. They have experience of informally delivering this information in new and innovative ways. They also have the ability to deliver activity based sessions e.g. archery, sports coaching, circus skills, African drumming and healthy living sessions- amongst others.
Young Gloucestershire’s staff are able to come and deliver one off specific sessions for young people and are also available where appropriate to provide a longer term provision in your local area.
